The carrier hasn't disclosed any specific release date, but it certainly looks like the Hydrogen One is going to soon be available in stores. Verizon says it will be available later this year, while AT&T says it expects them to be available later this summer.
Hydrogen One will be the first smartphone from RED, a company known for designing high-end cameras often used to make Hollywood films. It's a gimmick we've been fed before and one that never failed to gain much traction but perhaps this time around, things could be different? According to the mobile carriers AT&T and Verizon, RED is set to launch the Hydrogen One. "Unlocked" Pre-orders will however ship before that".
Prices and additional specifications have also not been announced, though the phones were available for preorder earlier from Red for $1,295 in aluminum or $1,595 in titanium, according to the company's website.
The built-in 4-View holographic display is like 3D without having to use 3D glasses and is paired with multi-dimensional surround sound, industrial design elements and expansion capabilities that will allow users to swap in series of modules with various optional handset features.
Injured Dimitri Payet's tearful exit from Europa League final
They are yet to lift the Europa League trophy, but did emerge victorious in the 1992/93 Champions League. Valere Germain was played through on goal very early, but missed his chance to give Marseille the lead.
YouTube personality Marques Brownlee saw a prototype of the phone a year ago and was impressed by the holographic screen despite some rough edges that Red will presumably smooth over before the phone launches. It wasn't just a concept but it's a real phone whose prototype was shown off in a video.
The Hydrogen One's display grew from light-field display technology originally developed by Menlo Park, CA-based Leia, in which Red took an investment past year.
Details of the Hydrogen One first surfaced last July.
Recently, Red stated that the phone was delayed and now coming in August.
