Bafta TV awards hit with technical issues forcing show to be delayed

Claire Foy again missed out in the lead actress category as Molly Windsor won for her performance in Three Girls.

The Best International Show category provides the night with some of its biggest names with the Emmy-winning limited series "Big Little Lies" and drama series "The Handmaid's Tale" in the running as are the limited series "Feud: Bette and Joan" and the documentary series "The Vietnam War". The new mum, who plays nurse Trixie in the BBC drama, gave birth to her first child with co-star Jack Ashton in September, 2017. O'Byrne picked up Best Supporting Actor for Little Boy Blue, based on the tragic death of 11-year-old Rhys Jones, who was fatally shot in Liverpool, England in 2007. 'I just felt like the luckiest person in the world to get to play a character who was so colourful, vivid, fearless and strong, ' she said.

Peaky Blinders scooped the top prize for Best Drama Series and the Best Comedy Entertainment Programme award was given to Murder in Successville. Casualty took the award for soap or continuing drama.

The show was also a big victor at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards and Philippa Lowthorpe picked up in the Director: Fiction category, Uni Ni Dhonghaile in the Editing: Fiction category and Nicole Taylor, the Writer: Drama category.

The award for factual series went to Ambulance, and Love Island won for reality or constructed factual.

Yates wins stage to extend Giro lead
Thursday's 12th stage is a flat, 214-kilometer route from Osimo to the motorsport race circuit of Imola. Yates gained a few more seconds on closest rival Tom Dumoulin by winning his second stage of the tour.
