David Price expects to be OK for Saturday start vs. Blue Jays

Right now the plan to treat his ailment is just to get worked on by the training staff. He will pitch Saturday.

On Thursday, Boston pitcher David Price announced he would no longer play the popular video game after several media members suggested it had caused the carpal tunnel syndrome that cost him a start against the Yankees this week. He first felt the symptoms worsen last Sunday during a bullpen session in Texas.

And if Red Sox fans weren't already disgusted enough with their $30 million per year "ace", the reason Price gave for his bullpen session being cut short last week probably won't help.

He threw a bullpen session Thursday and said it was a bit hard to spin breaking balls at first, but got easier as he went along. "So that's the video game generation", he said, adding that since he joined the Red Sox, he's played "the least amount of video games I've ever played being in Major League Baseball".

"I've got an Xbox".

Bank of England likely to delay rate hike as economy slows
Inflation fell faster than the BoE had expected and the economy grew at its slowest annual rate in five years in early 2018. The second reason the central bank opted against another rate increase is that inflation has fallen more than anticipated.

"No, I dominated in Oakland", he said. "This is what it came out, and if he misses a start - another start - because of this, I'm fine with it".

"I don't think it was the wrist injury, to be honest. That was all on me". Price complained of numbness in his pitching hand before getting checked out. He will be treated with a procedure similar to acupuncture and hopes to avoid surgery.

Price goes on to explain how he visited an allergy expert, with the problem evidently being complicated by the new chemical mix for the Rays' laundry injection system. I'm going to sleep with a brace on.

"I'm pitching the rest of the year", he said confidently. He said this current issue is unrelated.

On Thursday, the five-time All-Star and 2012 American League Cy Young Award victor told reporters: "I've always played it with my team-mates, during the offseason, at the field, at the hotel. But I do not think that's the cause".
