The most Big Macs consumed was achieved by Donald Gorske (USA), who ate his 28,788th Big Mac in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA, on 24 August 2016.

Gorske has been obsessed with the burgers since he tried his first one back in that same McDonald's in 1972, 46 years ago.

Gorske said he has eaten at least one Big Mac nearly every day since May 17, 1972, and has kept the receipts to prove it.

Gorske - famously featured in the 2004 documentary "Super Size Me" because of his obsession with the 563-calorie, fat-laden sandwiches - insisted that his health is great.
