The new parental controls for Echo are a version of the FreeTime parental controls that debuted five years ago on Amazon's kid-friendly Fire tablets. These new offerings bring Alexa-specific features and content to Amazon's FreeTime and FreeTime Unlimited services for children.

Bloomberg also reports that while it doesn't know exactly how the robot would be able to get around the house, it does believe that it would use computer vision systems similar to those found on a self-driving vehicle. It looks just like the regular Echo Dot, but features a kid-friendly rubber case, and your choice of colors are green, red, and blue.
