Aaron Rodgers starts the offseason program without a contract extension and without his good friend, wide receiver Jordy Nelson, but meeting the media on Tuesday, he made no mention of any dissatisfaction with the Packers brain trust in regards to their offseason personnel changes like he did at Super Bowl XII. I've said many times I'd love to finish my career here. You just have to trust the process, as we've talked about over the years. "I want to ride that wave and try to help him as best I can". "For me, mainly, it's about making sure I've got the offense down, so he's got a lot of confidence in me, he knows that I know what's going on, and we're kind of in the same steps".
The Packers' power structure consists of head coach Mike McCarthy, GM Brian Gutekunst and president Mark Murphy. Nelson, now an Oakland Raider, was released without Rodgers being considered in the transaction.
Rodgers passed for 1,675 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions over seven games this past season, his 13th in the NFL.
"For me, it's about winning a ring, simple as that", Graham said. "Obviously, he was one of my closest friends in the locker room for a number of years". You're in this business for a long time, and you start relationships with your coaches and players. The disappointment is when you get close to your teammates, and they're not here anymore - and especially when they're not here, they're playing somewhere else. There's still incentive for both sides to strike a deal sooner rather than later, but there's also certainly no rush, given Rodgers' contract runs through next season. "But the organization is making decisions that they feel like are in best interest for our team and you've got to trust the process". He said all the right things.
Explosion outside Indian Embassy camp office in Biratnagar
Biratnagar is the industrial capital of Nepal and is from a distance of 6 kilometres from the border of north Bihar. The spokesperson added: "Our embassy in Kathmandu is in touch with the government of Nepal".
In the Yahoo article by Charles Robinson, some league sources were quoted as saying Rodgers was not happy with not being involved in personnel moves that impact him - saying the QB was frustrated and that feeling could affect any possible contract extension talks. "I think that's obviously frustrating and it's going to keep coming out". So he could threaten to sit out unless the team restructures his contract.
"Well, my quarterback coach didn't get retained", Rodgers said when asked for specifics.
The Buccaneers picked up the $20.922 million fifth-year option days before the May 2 deadline to employ the injury-guaranteed option on players from the 2015 draft class where he was the first overall pick.
That jibes with what Rodgers himself has said publicly, albeit in more subtle fashion.
