The hosts are expected to be without the services of Pedro Obiang, Winston Reid, Sam Byram, Andy Carroll and Michail Antonio.

Charlie Adam is suspended for Stoke and both Eric Choupo-Moting and Konstatinos Stafylidis are out injured.

Manager Paul Lambert has no further injury concerns to contend with for the trip to the London Stadium.

"That decade might be about to come to an end with Stoke six points off safety with only five games to play".

Stoke was close to a huge win in its fight to avoid the drop when Carroll, who had been on the field as a substitute for just four minutes, met a left-wing cross with a crisp volley into the bottom corner.

He continued: "I am proud of the team".

"Last week after he made fantastic saves at Chelsea, I said to him: "Well done". We bossed the majority of the game.

"For the team, for us, at the time it was hard because it meant we had to go and look to change after we had been the dominant team, apart from the first five or 10 minutes of the second half". This club was built on sheer graft and hard work with a sprinkling of gold dust at the top end and we have to get that back and give the fans what was happening here before.

So far four Commonwealth countries, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Vanuatu and Ghana, have joined the United Kingdom in the alliance. The Alliance will press fellow Commonwealth nations to cut down on single-use plastics and ban microbeads.

"If the supporters do what I think they will do, we just have to turn up and try and get a win". They are still looking for points as well.

But Carroll's goal keeps the Potters in 19th place, with just four games to go.

Think you can do better than Lawro?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been superb for Liverpool this season following his move from Arsenal in the summer of 2017, and even West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has been impressed, according to her comments in The Sun.

The Hammers are aiming to complete their first league double over Stoke since the Potters' first season in the Premier League in 2008-09.

A win for West Ham would nearly guarantee their Premier League survival, whilst a victory for the Potters would keep their hopes alive, moving up a spot and to within three points of safety.

Kick-off at the London Stadium is at 9pm.

West Ham United were reportedly one of the many Premier League clubs who sent scouts to watch Benfica play Porto in the Portuguese league on Sunday.
