The Gainesville Police Department said they were called to the 400 block of Atlanta Highway on Friday night by a taxi driver.

He refused to get out of the auto and took off, leading police on a chase that ended when he lost control of the stolen Toyota Camry and crashed, prosecutors said.

Muntean sustained a gunshot wound to the wrist.

"We got on our loud speakers, and we were trying to talk to him, we were trying to talk him down", Northcutt said, "we were trying to get him and just walk toward us".

Muntean pleaded guilty to fleeing police and was sentenced to 16 months in prison.

According to the Harrington Police Department, just before 10 p.m. Saturday, officers on patrol were called to the 200 block of Commerce Street after someone called 911 to report their vehicle was intentionally hit with a rock.

Officers said they saw the victim's neck was swollen and her voice was hoarse.

Two New York women were arrested after they allegedly fled a hit-and-run, and then assaulted the other driver and crashed his vehicle when he followed after them. Another officer arrived, and Fogle was placed under arrest.

"The the girl raised an alarm when the youths molested her there and the inhabitants of the neighbouring quarters then informed the Deputy Jail Super Dhanajoy Bhattacharya", the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Dharmanagar, Jyotisman Das Chowdhury, said. A gun was found nearby, authorities said.
