Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said Moscow will not delay its response to new U.S. sanctions, according to Russian state news agency RIA. "We convinced him that it was necessary to stay there long-term".

Haley told United States media that sanctions could come as early as Monday.

Moscow and Damascus are waging the same "battles" against terrorism and "to protect worldwide law based on respect of the sovereignty of countries and the wills of people", Assad said in comments carried by state media, an apparent jab at the three Western allies.

U.S. Ambassador Kenneth Ward levied the accusation against Russian Federation during a closed-door meeting at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. According to her Steven Mnuchin, US Secretary of the Treasury was to announced them already on Monday.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson made this clear on Monday as he arrived at a meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Luxembourg, telling reporters: "I'm afraid the Syrian war will go on in its terrible, miserable way".

"The president has been clear that he's going to be tough on Russian Federation, but at the same time he'd still like to have a good relationship with them", Sanders said.

Trump said he was prepared to sustain the response until Assad's government stopped its use of chemical weapons.

U.S. Defence Secretary Jim Matt and other military leaders had warned that the larger the attack, the greater the risk of a confrontation with Russian Federation, two U.S. officials said. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov denied that Moscow had interfered with any evidence.

The real reason that I am confident in the Cavs is because at the end of the day one team has LeBron and the other one does not. LeBron will also get on his starters because no one in the starting lineup besides LeBron scored more than 10 points.

Several people familiar with the plan told the paper that Trump was upset with the sanctions rollout, and administration officials said the strategy was "in a holding pattern". They called for a renewed push for peace and threatened further sanctions on the Syrian regime.

It is barred from having, storing or using nerve agents, and while it is permitted to possess chlorine for civilian uses, is banned from using that chemical as a weapon.

Russian Federation has strongly opposed the United Kingdom, USA and France's action against Syria. Trump hailed the military strikes a success, in a tweet Saturday morning, writing, "A perfectly executed strike last night".

He spoke as the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) watchdog held an urgent meeting.

If the U.S. sanctions are enacted, they will be the second such batch in just over a year against Syria's weapons of mass destruction program.

"Assad knew that Russian Federation had its back, Assad knew that Russian Federation would cover for them at the United Nations, and Assad got reckless, and he used it in a way that was far more aggressive", she said.

"And they will go directly to any sort of companies that were dealing with equipment related to Assad and chemical weapons use". The report stated that Putin's regime may resort to using blackmail on members of her government.

The military action is not about intervening in Syria's civil war or changing its government, she said. "We can not allow the use of chemical weapons to become normalised - either within Syria, on the streets of the United Kingdom or elsewhere".
