The streaming giant has given a 10-episode order to V-Wars, a new bloodsucking drama based on the series of books of the same name edited by Jonathan Maberry (Rot & Ruin, Dead of Night) and published by IDW. Somerhalder is attached to star and also direct the drama, which was developed as straight-to-series in 2014 as the initial project under IDW Entertainment and then-eOne TV's first-look co-production deal. "We are thrilled to partner with Netflix to bring the multifaceted world that Jonathan Maberry created to audiences worldwide".

1-800-MISSING creators William Laurin and Glenn Davis are set as showrunners.

He spent time on the Steelers' practice squad and was signed to the active roster during the 2002 season, playing special teams. Harrison finishes his career with 84.5 sacks, 34 forced fumbles and eight interceptions to go along with 795 total tackles.

The Vampire Diaries is over but Ian Somerhalder isn't giving up the vampire life quite yet. He and his Rare Birds Productions are now under a pod deal at Warner Bros.

Ian is no stranger to the Vampire world, having starred on The CW's The Vampire Diaries. Eric Birnberg and Thomas Walden are executive producing for High Park Entertainment, while David Ozer and Ted Adams will serve in that capacity for IDW Entertainment. The genre remains popular with NBC's Midnight, Texas, and Syfy's Van Helsing, among others.
