Uncertainty over exactly what Federal Bureau of Investigation agents seized from Mr Cohen comes as Mr Trump faces an intensifying probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into whether his presidential campaign colluded with Russian Federation.
"Bad reporting, bad information and bad story by same reporter", he tweeted, addressing the story's author by name.
But Cohen has persistently denied not only the broader allegations, but also that he ever took this trip to Prague - or any trip to Prague, for that matter.
In the Clifford case, Cohen and Trump on Friday filed a joint application requesting a 90-day stay of the action. The plan would have ended US sanctions imposed on Russia in 2014 in response to its incursion into Ukraine in exchange for minimal Russian concessions.
Trump and Cohen spoke over the phone on Friday, a source with knowledge of the matter confirmed to CNN. If this is the case, he would not have needed a passport for the trip. Cohen's alleged communications with the Russians were mentioned several times in Steele's reports, which he shared with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Once they've reviewed the records, the filter team can give to the investigators communications "between Cohen and persons with whom Cohen undisputedly does not have an attorney-client relationship", likely meaning the records wouldn't be between Cohen and Trump, prosecutors said. It also claimed Cohen was deeply involved in a "cover up and damage limitation operation in the attempt to prevent the full details of Trump's relationship with Russian Federation being exposed".
Homes threatened as bushfire burns near southwest Sydney
The blaze was downgraded from emergency level to watch and act about 5.30pm on Sunday as conditions began to ease. Many property owners stayed to protect their homes from spot fires - luckily no homes or lives were lost.
Daniels is suing Cohen for defamation and claimed the nondisclosure agreement she agreed to is invalid because Trump never signed it. He continued to struggle to hire a new criminal lawyer, and some of his own aides were reluctant to advise him about a response for fear of being dragged into a criminal investigation themselves.
Cohen has said he was only in NY and briefly in Los Angeles in August, when the meeting may have occurred, though the sources said it also could have been held in early September. He commented that the sourcing of the McClatchy report seemed thin and the details vague, and the report didn't actually confirm the Steele dossier's claim. It said Oleg Solodukhin, the deputy chief of Rossotrudnichestvo's operation in the Czech Republic, attended the meeting, too.
Other staffers at the Trump Organization have been further tied to the payments made by Cohen.
USA intelligence agencies and cyberexperts say Kremlin-backed hackers pirated copies of thousands of emails from the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign chief John Podesta in 2015 and 2016, some of which were politically damaging, including messages showing that the DNC was biased toward Clinton in the party's nomination battle against Sen.
None of those emails, they added, was exchanged with Trump. She alone decided that she did not want to continue with the pregnancy and I offered to help her financially during this hard period. Both women say they had affairs with Trump.
But according to the McClatchy report, Mueller now has evidence that Cohen entered Prague from Germany.
Trump said in January that he was " to being interviewed by Mueller under oath.
