Over the weekend, over a thousand Kingdom Hearts fans gathered in Los Angeles for the first Dandelion Meeting, an official community gathering for Kingdom Hearts Union x [Cross].

Square Enix released a new "Classic Kingdom" trailer for Kingdom Hearts III that shows off its new mini-games inspired by Disney cartoons and 1980's LCD games that you'll get to check out in the upcoming title. That's the hope, anyway, but then there's always the chance of Kingdom Hearts 3 getting pushed back to 2019.

The trailer shows Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy looking down at what appears to be some sort of gaming device and try their hands at some classic black-and-white old school Disney-themed 1980s LCD games.

The new trailer for the most-awaited video game features the Classic Kingdom.

It has been a very long time since a numbered Kingdom Hearts game has released, with the last one being 2006's Kingdom Hearts 2.

On the pre-order page on the Target website, the title was temporarily listed for release on November 1, but has since been taken down. While majority we've seen are based around contemporary Disney properties, like Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story, today we've got a trailer for a far more retro aesthetic kingdom.

Kingdom Hearts III is expected to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One sometime this year. The retailer later changed the release date to December 31, indicating that the game will arrive this year.
