First flood watch posted for Upstate NY as heavy rain approaches

The Essex Region Conservation Authority is extending its flood watch until Monday. Heavy rain and lightning are now being reported in the districts of Puna and Kau.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Flash Flooding: A flash flood watch is issued when there is a potential for flooding in a short period of time, generally less than six hours.
