News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that President Buhari, who is on official visit to London had on Wednesday met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Welby in London where he explained why he declared his intention to run for another term in office.

"The PDP and of course, Nigerians at large, are particularly anxious that in the event of any national emergency, there is no sitting commander-in-chief to take charge".

The President told the group "we will do our best to justify your trust in us, and that confidence won't be abused".
