Comey has revealed in an interview to promote his new book that the expectation of Hillary Clinton's victory in the 2016 USA presidential election may have affected the decisions he had made in the email probe, eventually clearing the former secretary of state of all charges.

Donald Trump launched into another Twitter tirade against James Comey on Sunday, hours before the broadcast of an extended interview with the fired former Federal Bureau of Investigation director about his interactions with the USA president.
President Trump, seen greeting Comey in January 2017, lashed out against the lawman in a series of Sunday morning tweets.
The interview was supposed to be his first televised sit-down interview since he was sacked by the President past year.
In another post, he disputed the memos Comey kept on his encounters with the President - one of which detailed Trump's request for a loyalty pledge.
