Currently, the smartphone is available in China and there is no information on whether it will be released globally.

Just yesterday, Xiaomi's Senior Vice President Wang Xiang announced that the company's next smartphone will be unveiled at an event in China on April 25th.

Xiaomi also launched a controller dock for the Black Shark which comes with a joystick and a trigger button that can be connected to the handset.

Xiaomi's officially launched the Black Shark through its identically named sub-brand, directly targeting gamers who want a dedicated phone optimized for their lifestyle. The phone's body is made out of metal, which is unlike anything you'd find in the market as it has been created with gaming in mind.

Apart from the usual power/lock, volume up and volume down keys, the Black Shark also has a physical key on the left-hand side of the device, called the "SHARK" key that activates high-performance mode for gaming. You have a choice of 64GB or 128GB for internal storage, and there's a 4,000mAh battery to power your gaming sessions. The device has a dual-rear camera setup with a 20MP sensor and a 12MP sensor, both with f/1.75 aperture and LED flash. The front camera will sport a 20MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Moreover, the phone also support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 tech. An eight-core Kryo 385 processor (with speeds ranging from 1.8-2.8GHz), coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU means it has plenty of grunt.

There had been "unexpected setbacks" in talks because of infighting within Boko Haram . Extensive damage or security threats have kept most of those schools from reopening.

The Black Shark itself is priced at CNY 2999 (approx Rs 31160) for the 6GB/64GB option and CNY 3499 (about Rs 36360) for the 8GB/128GB one.

Users of the Black Shark will not feel lacking in the phone's performance, that's for sure.

But then there's the price too to consider. The Razer Phone, on the other hand, is slightly more expensive at $699 (approx Rs 45,000). It docks on the top of the phone to transform the smartphone into a full-fledged handheld gaming device.

The Black Shark also boasts of a multi-stage integrated liquid cooling system that brings the CPU temperature 8° C down, clearly a first in this area.
