Sega announces Sega Ages for Switch

A few weeks ago the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) Collection was announced for PS4 and Xbox, with Nintendo fans feeling left out from enjoying classic SEGA games on the Switch.

Thunder Force IV for Switch will be playable at Sega Fes 2018 this weekend. We've reached out to Sega for details and will update this post accordingly.

The indications are that the rebooted classic console is going to go on sale this year, in Japan at least.

The Sega Genesis console was a massive global success. This system debuted in Japan in October 1988 and was the successor of the Sega Master System, offering an advance in hardware that stood out for its 16-bit capacity, which it boasted at the top. Unfortunately, Sega's fifth and sixth-generation consoles, the Saturn and the Dreamcast, were not as commercially successful and the Japanese company bowed out of the console business.until now. It will be until then that a similar launch could take place.

'Terminator' reboot casts Gabriel Luna as lead
Natalie Reyes ( Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas ) and Diego Boneta ( Scream Queens) have also been cast to star in the film. Original star , Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise the title role, along with original co-star Linda Hamilton .

What do you think?

We don't know how much it will cost, which countries it will be sold in, or which games will be included, but on that last point Sega seems to be taking suggestions from gamers.

As a one-time Genesis kid whose nostalgic sweet spot is a Sega Genesis, I feel qualified to say that the Genesis deserves better from its owner.
