'Baahubali 2' cleared for theatrical release in China

It's now official! Baahubali 2 has been cleared by the Censor Board and is set to release in China.

Of late, China has emerged as the world's second-largest film market is really interested in Hindi movies. Even though film's release date has not been finalised by the makers of the film, it's said that a huge release is being planned and even the distributors have been finalised for the film.

E Stars Media, which had previously handled the release of Baahubali: The Beginning in Chine, will now take care of the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion as well. Worldwide sales are handled by an offshoot of producer Arka MediaWorks. It's also said that Baahubali 2 will be the first Indian film to gross 2000 crore at the global box-office.

Bollywood films like Aamir Khan's Dangal and Secret Superstar have performed well at the Chinese box office boosting the total lifetime collection of the films. Now we hear that the epic drama will soon get a theatrical release in China. The movie earned a modest $1.12 million of its worldwide $123 million total in China. The magnum opus follows Aamir Khan's Dangal, which earned an astonishing Dollars 195 million on release in China, Secret Superstar and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film stars Irrfan Khan ("The Lunchbox") and Pakistan's Saba Qamar ("Manto") and is set to hit Chinese theaters April 4, over the Qing Ming holiday weekend.
