Joe's freshman missing in Bermuda while on rugby tour

A statement from Bermuda Police said: "The appeal continues regarding missing American visitor 19-year-old Mark Dombroski".

Police say he was last seen around 1 a.m.at The Dog House, a bar and restaurant in Hamilton, the island's capital.

She thanked the citizens of Bermuda and the police for "standing shoulder to shoulder with us during this ordeal".

Mark Dombroski, 19, a member of the rugby team at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, disappeared early Sunday after a night of socializing. Police added that there "is concern for his wellbeing".

The police asked anyone with information to call them. At 1:15 a.m. another camera picked him up and showed him on talking on a cell phone on Middle Road about 1.5 miles from the Dog House and away from where the team was staying.

Police appealed for the public's help Monday and fellow rugby players joined the search for an American college student reported missing in Bermuda at the end of an global tournament.

Dombroski's parents and two brothers had traveled with Mark to Bermuda. His disappearance came just as he was scheduled to return home to Philadelphia.

Responding to questions about Dombroski's state of mind, his mother said her son had no apparent problems.

Mark Dombroski, a freshman at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, was visiting Bermuda to take part in the Ariel Re Bermuda International 7's Tournament, but has not been seen since a night out on Sunday night.

"He wasn't in a celebratory mood", she said.

The university has not yet issued any statement.
