Met Eireann issue ANOTHER status yellow warning

The forecast for the weekend looks set to set Donegal aglow with welcome sunshine lighting up St Patrick's Day parades across the county.

However, it won't be a return to the blizzard conditions experienced earlier this month. Max. temperatures will range from just 1 or 2 degrees in the north and east to 5 or 6 along west and southwest coasts.

The warning came as Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow alert for heavy rainfall predicted over the next 24 hours.

In their latest update they wanred that "snow showers will become more frequent along east and southeast coasts later Saturday". "Very cold and frosty again on Sunday night, but mostly dry". "Turning colder with daytime temperatures back to 5°C in a strong easterly wind".
