Halsey and Lil Yachty become superheroes in 'Teen Titans GO!' movie

And now, in what is perhaps the greatest casting joke/cameo in superhero history (sorry, Stan Lee), they've gotten Nicolas Cage to be their Superman.

The Teen Titans Go! movie, which is officially called Teen Titans Go!

Cage joins singer/songwriter Halsey, who is playing Wonder Woman, and rapper Lil Yachty, who is playing Green Lantern, as the first of several A-List celebrities that will join the cast, according to USA Today.

It's in the upcoming animated Teen Titans Go! movie. Existing in the same continuity as their insane yet still active show on Cartoon Network, the Teen Titans find out that other DC superheroes seem to have films produced, so they seek out the flawless director for their debut on the big screen, but an old enemy has other ideas planned for them.

Bay Area ICE spokesman resigns, refused to deliver 'misleading facts,' report says
Schwab told CNN he'd "never" been in a situation "where someone asked me to deflect when we absolutely knew something was awry". In fact, Schwab told Oakland Fox affiliate KTVU that the raid netted more arrests than initially planned.

The meta-loving folks running Teen Titans GO! never turn down an opportunity to make a joke referencing the state of the superhero in popular entertainment.

The actor came close with the Tim Burton-directed Superman Lives (there's even a legendary costume test), but the "powerful" project was scrapped, and Cage went home to his haunted mansion and cried into his copy of Action Comics #1 on top of his dinosaur skull.

In the official teaser trailer for the movie Robin pulls the reins of the gang straight to Hollywood where they search for big-name superheroes that people find inspiration in, where they then bump into Kristen Bell who plays the Hollywood director who helps the Teen Titans land their big break.

Cage did, however, play the title role in both Ghost Rider movies, and while he was delightfully hammy in them, the films themselves were a massive disappointment to fans. We haven't heard any clips yet of Cage as Superman, but we hope that happens soon. Speaking to USA Today, the film's executive producer Sam Register described the "great responsibility" the team felt when filling out their cameo cast. The real stars are Robin (Scott Menville), Starfire (Hynden Walch), Raven (Tara Strong), Cyborg (Khary Payton), and Beast Boy (Greg Cipes).
