Capcom is bringing Devil Hunter Dante to Monster Hunter

Capcom notes that you'll still be able to guard while using the new Charge Blade, despite its lack of a shield.

When the Devil May Cry content comes to Monster Hunter: World, players can access the new missions by visiting a quest counter.

Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry's Dante is heading to Monster Hunter World later this year, in a brand-new collaboration event. The collaboration celebrates the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection. It exclusively includes the first three games in the series, leaving out the fourth entry and the controversial DmC - a game that reimagines our silver-haired hero into a brown-haired brat. Dante, the protagonist of the Devil May Cry series, will be coming to MHW.

He started 12 of his 13 appearances as a rookie in Minnesota, posting 2,919 yards and 14 touchdowns against 12 interceptions. The 25-year-old was taken with the 32nd overall pick in 2014 and helped lead Minnesota to the playoffs in 2015.

Also, instead of the sword turning into an axe, Force Edge will instead turn into Alastor.

You'll get to fight hellish foes in Monster Hunter: World to earn this devious combination of the Force Edge and Alastor. Like previous collaboration events, the event quests will only be available for a limited time, but they may return in the future. Players can pick up the collection on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Even though we have no stated date for this Monster Hunter: World event in collaboration with Devil May Cry, Capcom has released a trailer showing Dante in action against some of the game's trademark beasts.
