Emergency crews responded after a Dallas-bound flight was diverted to the Albuquerque after smoke filled the aircraft's cabin.
The Boeing 737 was en route to Dallas from Phoenix when it had to be diverted to Albuquerque, due to what could have been an electrical fire, according to NBC 4 NY.
"Our people in Albuquerque worked to get customers onboard another aircraft to continue their journey to Dallas", the airline said in a statement.
Upon landing, slides were deployed from the Boeing 737, which contained 140 passengers, five of whom were transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries possibly including smoke inhalation.
A Southwest Airlines flight from Phoenix had to make an emergency landing on Sunday night. Passengers were carefully removed from the flight and driven to the terminal via transport buses.

Local news sources report that most passengers boarded another plane for the trip to Dallas that arrived at around 1 am.
