The party issued pictures of Imran's nikah with Bushra Bibi, in which close relatives of the bride could be seen. The photographs show Imran and a veiled Bushra along with several others, including PTI leaders Awn Chaudhry and Zulfi Bukhari.
Khan, a cricketer turned politician, married Bushra Bibi (also known as Pinki Pir) in a simple ceremony held in Lahore yesterday, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said in a tweet.
Earlier, Imran had rejected the reports that he had contracted his marriage with Maneka on January 1 in Lahore's Defence residence of his "new" brother-in-law.
Family sources said that none of Imran's sisters was present at nikah.
Taking a jibe at the PTI leader, Talal said that while Nawaz Sharif was destined to become prime minister for fourth time, Imran's fate was to get married for the third time.
"If and when the proposal is accepted by Ms Maneka for the marriage, Mr Khan will announce it publicly in the proper manner". This is Imran Khan's third marriage. He had first tied the knot with Jemima Khan on May 16, 1995 that ended in divorce after nine years on June 22, 2004. His second marriage was with Reham Khan, then a TV anchor, which lasted barely 10 months. Awn was also a witness in Khan's previous marriage to Reham Khan.
Undo injustice, BJP ally Naidu tells Centre
This is the first time that Naidu publicly targeted the BJP and appealed to people to rally behind the state government. The MPs announced that they would continue their protest when the Budget Session recommences on March 5.
Mufti Saeed who was also nikah khawan of that marriage had not commented when asked about the ceremony of November 2015.
"The PTI leadership was of the view that strong rumours about his third marriage had played a role in the defeat of the party's strong man Jahangir Tareen's son at the hands of a candidate of ruling PML-N", he said. What was the point of lying about it? "This whole process was secretive; no one even knew that I had proposed Bushra". "I hope this time his marriage remains successful", he added.
A photo of the couple released by PTI showed Khan, 65, wearing a dark blazer over a traditional white shalwar kameez, while Watto is clad head-to-feet in a grey robe with a red veil covering her face.
Felicitations began pouring in by PTI leaders soon after the news of party chief's marriage flashed on media.
Shafqat Mehmood wished the couple "all the best".
