Alluding to the notion that Rajinikanth, who like himself has announced his foray into politics recently, has an inclination towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Haasan vouched that saffron isn't the colour of his politics. Hassan said, "I am announcing a plan of adopting a village in every district of Tamil Nadu..." However, Kamal dismissed such rumours while interacting with Barkha Dutt after his speech.Kamal expressed concerns over their differences in the way good must be done to the people and over Rajini's initial statement on entering politics giving him a hue.

Mr Haasan, 63, who took the political plunge after accusing the E Palaniswami government of corruption and bad governance, had earlier said that partnering with Rajinikanth is not a decision that can be taken now.
