San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested in California on charges related to domestic violence, The San Francisco Chronicle reports. Details of Foster's arrest have yet to be released but The Mercury News says Foster was also booked on suspicion of possessing an assault rifle.
Calls to the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department were not immediately returned Sunday. He was previously arrested for marijuana possession in Alabama on January 12th.
Foster is coming off of a productive rookie season with the 49ers. Foster, 23, gave a diluted drug test sample and was then sent home after an altercation with a hospital employee.

The Northeast Frontier Railway confirmed the incident, which involved the Guwahati-Silchar passenger express train. The tracks cut across corridors used by the elephants as they move through the hilly forest state.
This is Foster's second arrest within a month. Foster had a fantastic rookie season, ranking as the fourth best linebacker in football according to Pro Football Focus despite playing in only 10 games due to injury. However, the 49ers traded up to select him No. 31 overall after he fell because of character and medical concerns.
Foster, however, has dealt with a number of off-the-field issues. "We all know how special a player he can be when he's right".
In April, the 49ers released starting cornerback Tramaine Brock one day after he was arrested in Santa Clara on a domestic violence charge involving his girlfriend. "We take matters of this nature seriously and are gathering all pertinent information".
