Kangana Ranaut dismisses rumours over romantic sequence in Manikarnika

"Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi" is an Indian epic biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. After issuing the threat, the groups have said that they will "do anything" to stop the release of the movie and there are growing fears among people that this might lead to another Padmaavat-like catastrophe.

Kangana Ranaut plays the title role of Rani Laxmibai. She clarified, "There is no love angle in the film".

"There is nothing controversial in Manikarnika". "We are making Manikarnika with a great passion and huge respect towards the great woman who is unmatchable in her reputation", Jain said.

Alpine skiing-Men's downhill postponed due to high winds
More strong winds are forecast for Monday, so a training event for the downhill portion of the combined also was canceled. Race organizers say the gondola lift carrying teams and officials up the mountain could not be operated.

Vijayendra assures that no scene in the film has been written to degrade Rani Laxmibai. The writer of the film, Vijayendra Prasad has named his daughter Manikarnika. We can not even think like that, the kind of things they are saying. Reportedly, what they are saying is actually defaming. "It is idle talk and I don't know why it is being said", PTI quoted the actress as saying. "We have not referred the (sic) Jayshree Mishra or any other writes who wrote degrading history in Lakshmi Bai", the letter reads. "After they gave us a written assurance to this effect, we have made a decision to withdraw our protest".

The producers of the film, Kamal Jain and Zee Studios confirm that the film is showing Rani Laxmibai in the most respectful manner and showcases to the world the bravery, valour and heroism of Rani Laxmi. "We have withdrawn our protest but we want to make this clear once again that no distortion of history would be tolerated", Mishra added.

Despite his several clarifications, fringe groups like the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, continued to attack him verbally and physically, and did everything in their power to prevent the film from being released.
