Disgraced USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar serving prison sentence in Tucson

Larry Nassar has been sent to a federal prison in Tucson after receiving his final sentence.

A man who tried to attack former sports doctor Larry Nassar in a MI courtroom is thanking people who donated $31,000 online but says he doesn't want the money.

This is following stays in Eaton County jail and most recently, the Milan Federal Correctional Institution near Ann Arbor, Mich. He's one of almost 1,400 inmates at the low-security prison, located about 10 miles south of Ann Arbor.

Nassar, 54, started serving a 60-year federal sentence for possession of child pornography at the US penitentiary in Tucson, Arizona.

Margraves last week appeared in court in Eaton County, Michigan, and tried to attack Nassar, but sheriff's deputies stopped him. Only then will he be allowed to start serving prison time on his state sentences.

Larry Nassar has been transferred to a federal prison in Arizona to serve his 60-year prison sentence. He pleaded guilty to those charges in July.

Dozens of women and girls testified at Nassar's MI sentencing hearings, telling judges how his sexual abuse changed their lives. Congress, the NCAA, the U.S. Olympic Committee and the Michigan attorney general have launched investigations into USA Gymnastics' and Michigan State's handling of accusations against Nassar. The following month, he was sentenced in Ingham County to 40 to 175 years behind bars.
