Three people have been injured in midtown Manhattan following a shooting, police say.
When police arrived they discovered three men shot along West 31st Street near Broadway.
"When I heard the sounds I ran to the front", he said. "I was hiding like everybody - everybody was running around". Investigators say some sort of dispute outside a liquor store quickly escalated into gunfire just before 5 p.m.
Police say there has been no arrests and are hunting the gunman, who fled with another man he was with at the time of the shooting. One of the victims appeared to be shot in the arm, with two others shot in the torso. It's unclear if he was a victim. "Six ambulances, EMS helicopters", says eyewitness David Markovich.

Raj said the man appeared to be bleeding near his hip.
"I don't know if we picked a bad hotel or what", said Florida tourist Nicole, who heard the shots from the roof of the Hyatt hotel across the street, where she is staying with her 9-year-old daughter.
Police said they were searching for the gunman and another man he was with at the time of the shooting.
The wounded men were all taken to a hospital officials said and their conditions were all reported to be stable.
