Fashion Photographers Mario Testino & Bruce Weber Accused Of Abusing Models

In the same Times investigation, it's been reported that 13 male assistants and models who worked with Testino say he subjected them to sexual advances that in some cases included masturbation and groping.

The article further states similar claims against photographer Bruce Weber, who is being accused by more than 15 male models of sexual improprieties.

Bruce Weber has shot campaigns for names like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Abercrombie & Fitch.

Testino is a Vogue favorite and has photographed prominent members of the British royal family, including Princess Diana.

Photographic assistant Hugo Tillman said Testino once grabbed him on the street and tried to kiss him and, a few weeks later, pinned him down on a bed until he was removed by another person.

In a statement to the paper from his lawyer, Weber said: "I'm completely shocked and saddened by the outrageous claims being made against me, which I absolutely deny".

Lavely & Singer, the law firm representing the pair, has not responded to a request for comment on the claims about Weber from the Press Association and said there would be no additional comment regarding Testino.

Actor Kevin Spacey was booted from various major projects after he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple men.

"(Testino) was a sexual predator", said model Ryan Locke. One claimed that Weber put his fingers in his mouth, and added that they didn't have sex but there was "a lot of molestation" and touching.

Numerous accusers spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Another model described Testino as "a mentor who took it a step too far" after alleging he put his hands down his pants and turned up at his hotel room asking for sex.

Representatives for both photographers said they were dismayed and surprised by the allegations. After Testino allegedly demanded that everyone leave the set, Locke recounted that the photographer allegedly "shuts the door and locks it".

But, he said, "If you said you were not going to work with someone like Bruce Weber or Mario Testino, you might as well just pack it in and go work in another industry". "I went at him, like, you better get away".

Both Weber and Testino have been deeply embedded in the culture of magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair and GQ, and now the magazines' publisher, Condé Nast, has committed to creating new guidelines to protect models from abuse.

Model Bobby Roache said Weber tried to put his hands down Roache's pants during a casting in 2007. "I believe strongly in the value of remorse and forgiveness, but I take the allegations very seriously, and we at Condé Nast have made a decision to put our working relationship with both photographers on hold for the foreseeable future".

The media company also said in a statement on Friday that it would stop working with both Weber and Testino, at least for now.
