Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set Confirmed for PS4

During the surprise Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo shook things up by closing with the announcement of Dark Souls: Remastered for the Nintendo Switch. The remastered version of the original Dark Souls and follow-up to Demon's Souls will feature "stunning" high-definition visuals and support for even higher resolution on 4K consoles.

The hardcore role-playing game by developer Bandai Namco, "Dark Souls", will be offered as a special "Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set", which will include all three games.

"The first title in the genre-defining action role-playing franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch".

The original Dark Souls turns seven this year, and we're just now starting to feel the full weight of its influence. Most recently Rockstar Games's LA Noire also made its way to the Nintendo Switch and there might be some truth to the rumor, however at this point nothing has been announced by either Rockstar or Nintendo. Furthermore, there are rumors that suggest the game's multiplayer modes will be expanded to incorporate six concurrent players.

The company dubbed it an "unmanned electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing cargo air vehicle prototype" (or eVTOL CAV prototype). Boeing Chief Technology Officer Greg Hyslop added that the CAV is a "major step" in the company's eVTOL strategy.

Bandai Namco is allegedly looking to bring Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3 to the Switch eventually, though there are no plans to release a trilogy collection. Despite the fact that is being ported to Nintendo, Dark Souls Remastered will be available for all other platforms.

This is not the first time that there has been speculation about Dark Souls remasters.
