Conte: If I leave, Chelsea will have to sack me

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suggests that fatigue played its part in the Blues' goalless draw at home to Leicester City.

Misfiring Chelsea missed the chance to climb into second place in the English Premier League by drawing 0-0 at home to 10-man Leicester on Saturday.

Antonio Conte has, however, kept faith with the majority of those to have been contained by the Gunners.

Conte then used up the rest of his substitutions by sending on Willian and Pedro for Eden Hazard and Fabregas, and the Brazilian started to cause problems for the visitors with his direct running.

On Friday Conte had described Leicester as the "worst team" his tired group of players could come up against this weekend, following their midweek Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, and Foxes boss Claude Puel was left ruing a missed opportunity to take all three points off the defending champions.

Leicester's relentless pressing made it hard for the Blues to create opportunities, even after they were reduced to 10 men following the second yellow card shown to Ben Chilwell. But that was simply not to be.

The draw has now put Conte's men level with Mourinho's side, who have have a game in hand, which is bad considering that there was a point in late December when they were favorites for the second spot after dismal showings by the Red Devils. Leicester were the better side and created more opportunities, excelling in the first half before dropping much deeper after the break.

Chelsea head coach Conte on Saturday said the feeling was mutual and that he would not be losing any sleep over the matter, insisting again he was stopping the verbal sparring.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea's website, Rudiger said: "The whole team is with him [Morata] and I think I can speak as well for the fans, they are also with him".

That's three 0-0 draws in a week now for the Premier League champions, who have a Champions League tie with Barcelona to look forward too in a couple of weeks. I thought that two games, after two-and-a-half days, for the same players was normal to recover.

"I'm not anxious. I'm not anxious. But I think I saw a lot of players very exhausted", Conte said.

Having opened his account for the season in last weekend's FA Cup win over Fulham - setting up a fourth-round clash with the Hornets - Ward-Prowse picked up where he left off.

I never see this type of mistake in the Premier League before.
