Liam Neeson Calls Sexual Harassment Allegations in Hollywood a 'Witch Hunt'

Liam Neeson has defended veteran actor Dustin Hoffman, saying that the campaign against sexual harassment in Hollywood is becoming "a bit of a witch hunt".

"The Dustin Hoffman thing, I'm on the fence about that", Neeson said.

"Because when you're doing a play and you're with your family, other actors, technicians, you do silly things".

"I think what Dustin did was... it's childhood stuff".

In response to Hunter's allegations Hoffman issued a statement saying the incident "is not reflective of who I am". "But it's childhood stuff".

British actor Liam Neeson comments on the series of claims of sexual harassment in Hollywood.

Hoffman has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women, of exposing himself to a minor, and sexual harassment. "I really like Liam, but just, no...", wrote another user.

"And indeed, that is the case in the case of Liam Neeson", he said.

Hoffman was accused by his former co-star on the Broadway performance of "Death of a Salesman" of groping her nearly nightly. His attorney called the accusations "defamatory falsehoods".

He had also raised concern over "disinformation" being spread through social media, and through religious schools and mosques. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said that India may test Pakistan's resolve if that is what it wishes to do.

Also, historically, witch hunts left a lot of innocent women dead and produced no actual witches, so it might be time to find a new metaphor. "We just want men to stop abusing their power".

The allegations against Hoffman are only the latest in a wave of claims about sexual misconduct by Hollywood heavyweights, including the producer Harvey Weinstein and the actor Kevin Spacey. He also referenced Garrison Keillor's "inappropriate behavior", which he was sacked over in November.

"There is a bit of a witch hunt happening", he said.

"There's some famous people suddenly accused of touching some girl's knee, and suddenly they're being dropped from their programme", he said, referring to the dismissal a year ago of United States radio host Garrison Keillor.

Tubridy eventually chimed in to mention the importance of people coming forward and having discussions about these issues, to which Neeson agreed.

"But there is a movement happening, and it's healthy, and it's across every industry".

The actor said the allegations reported by media are in "every industry".

He said that as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, he has read "chilling" details about how female labourers were being treated on farms and ranches. I sent her an e-mail of apology later and she replied that she had forgiven me.
