DARK SOULS: REMASTERED: The first title in the genre-defining action role-playing franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch. Now, what will this game look like? But the ability to play Dark Souls on-the-go is already a pretty strong selling point. The project appears on multiple platforms including PC, called Dark Souls: Remastered.

You can expect to die no matter where you are when the game hits the Switch on May 15th this year. DSR will include everything from the PS3/360 version, along with its Artorias of the Abyss expansion, for a slightly cheaper launch price of $39.99. Unfortunately, this means anyone living in the United States hoping to own the impressive collection will need to import it from Japan, which will make it even pricier. The box set will include all three Dark Souls games, each respective game's soundtrack, framed art, Dark Souls' themed bookends, and three dictionaries containing the entirety of Dark Souls' item list. This studio will reportedly utilize Dark Souls 3 technology when upgrading the original game's lighting and effects.

From Software's involvement in the Switch's library has been hinted at since the early days of the Switch's announcement. One change we've been made aware of is that multiplayer will be expanded to support six concurrent players, which makes sense if the goal is to get Dark Souls' covenant system working a little more smoothly. On the base, PS 4 and Xbox One Dark Souls Remastered will run at 1080p 60 FPS.
