Brazilian Ronaldo: Neymar Has Taken A Step Backwards

Neymar in his debut season at PSG played 22 games in which he scored 20 goals and gave 14 assists, and leads the championship of France and steadily made it to the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, where they will play against real Madrid.

Neymar's decision to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain was a "step back" in his development, according to Brazil legend Ronaldo. Ronaldo believes that his decision to play for PSG was a bad move for his career.

During a recent interview with former Brazil worldwide Zico, Ronaldo admitted that he was surprised by Neymar's choice, and feels it was a step in the wrong direction.

"But there are challenges that everyone seeks".

Neymar continued to show his talent on Wednesday night, scoring against Amiens as PSG won 2-0 to reach the last four of the Coupe de la Ligue. PSG are back in action against Claudio Ranieri's Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday. Neymar's former side Barcelona secured the signature of Philippe Coutinho as they continue to revamp following the Brazilian's exit.

Do you agree with Ronaldo's opinion? He can be termed as a match-deciding element who can raise the level of his team with his qualities.

A visit back to Catalonia in October saw him pictured with Messi and the Barca team, but a move back to the Camp Nou is extremely unlikely - given the nature he left, which included a training ground dust up with new signing Nelson Semedo.
