Pandemic's Star Wars Battlefront II Gets a New Patch Update

Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen said in November that it was a commitment to "realism" that led it to fill the infamous Star Wars Battlefront 2 loot boxes with usable items rather than cosmetics.

In other words, while the initial forum response seems fairly cut-and-dry, EA's legal wording on the subject is not. Based on the confirmation above it looks like cosmetics are covered, but the loose official wording means that ruling could technically change at any time. These update the game to have a more pleasant multiplayer experience. Darth Vader in white probably doesn't make sense, versus in black.

Gamers rebelled against the game late previous year over its reliance on in-game purchases to unlock the most desireable content. EA countered that the items and characters could be unlocked via gameplay accomplishments, but many critics noted they were nearly impossible to attain. Not to mention you probably don't want Darth Vader in pink.

Blood drives aim to alleviate winter shortage
The American Red Cross is now urging the public to roll up its sleeves and help out, and so is the Community Blood Bank in Erie. The next blood drive in the Magic Valley will be January 22 to 24 at the Church of Ascension Episcopal in Twin Falls.

"The one thing we're very focused on and [Lucasfilm are] extremely focused on is not violating the canon of Star Wars". Once the community gains more experience with how EA has structured the game files, the number of options is sure to grow.

Aside from restoring the multiplayer functionality for the original Battlefront 2, the game also supports cross-platform. Unfinished menus feature various skins for troops in almost every class.

Star Wars: Battlefront II is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. While these mods can be installed to Battlefront 2 on PC quite easily, whether or not EA will allow them to be used without banning players is another question entirely. You can see the shared DNA with Rebel Galaxy in the interface, including the menu, the shield and radar display in the lower left, and the throttle control in the upper right.
