Kevin Gates is now a free man and the hip hop Twitter community is reacting.
Rapper Kevin Gates was released from the East Moline Correctional Center in Illinois Wednesday, TMZ reports.

A popular rap musician is now free, after being released from a prison in the Quad Cities on Wednesday. In 2015, Gates was charged with battery for allegedly kicking a female fan at a concert in Lakeland, Florida.
Not all fans were happy about his release from prison. Although Gates is most known for his mixtapes, he released his debut studio album in January 2016.
