Shots Fired at Penn State Satellite Campus Near Pittsburgh

Initial reports indicate that the shooting was a murder-suicide, where a man shot and killed his wife, an employee at the campus, law enforcement officials said to KDKA. The shooter then reportedly shot and killed himself near her vehicle.

The shooting was reported at 3:38 p.m.at the school's food services building, which is adjacent to the student union and includes a kitchen and area for students to sit and eat. Pennsylvania State Police told the outlet that the shooting involved a school employee and is being considered a murder-suicide.

Penn State Beaver later issued an alert that shots were fired, saying the situation was contained and there was "no threat". The incident occurred at the Center Township campus, 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
