Horn retains world title belt with TKO victory over Corcoran

On Wednesday Horn will voluntarily defend his title against London-based Irish Traveller Gary Corcoran, where he's set to make $1 million for the fight, however, a much bigger paycheck is on the line for Horn.

Corcoran was left struggling to see out of his left eye late on and referee Benjy Esteves Jr. had seen enough in the mid-part of the eleventh.

Awaiting Horn now are potential megafights with the likes of Keith Thurman, Errol Spence Jr or Terence Crawford.

By the 11th round, with more cuts on his face opening up, Corcoran's corner called off the fight, as Horn - exhausted but unbeaten - raised his arms in celebration, before being embraced by coach Glenn Rushton. Gary's a very awkward fighter which put me off my game in the early rounds.

Horn, who could fight boxing warrior Terence Crawford next in the United States in a mouthwatering clash, said: "I knew he was prepared, he talked a smart game, and he definitely pushed me".

I am of the opinion that Corcoran will have punched himself out by the eighth round and that will give Horn the opportunity to finish the fight - similar to how he did when he beat Randall Bailey.

Asked about Crawford, Horn said: "It's a big possibility". On television it's a little hard.
