US Rapper Lil Peep's Death Confirmed As Drug Overdose


Names such as Post Malone, Diplo and Charli XCX paid tribute to Lil Peep following the news.

Now authorities from the Pima County Office have confirmed to Pitchfork that Lil Peep passed away after an overdose of fentanyl and Xanax.

He was known for habitual drug use and even referred to himself as a "productive junkie".

Almost a month on from his passing, a coroner in the USA state of Arizona has determined that upcoming rapper Lil' Peep died of an accidental overdose of the pain-relief drug fentanyl and anti-anxiety medication Xanax.

Us Weekly reports the 21-year-old succumbed to "the combined toxic effects of fentanyl and alprazolam".

The news arrives almost one month after Lil Peep was found dead on a tour bus in Tuscon, Arizona, where he was scheduled to perform. "I did it all with my friends, and it was very organic".
