TVS Apache RR 310 launches at Rs 2.05 lakh

It was also reported by NDTv that the TVS Apache RR 310 will be launched in global markets where TVS has a presence.

TVS Apache RR 310 is considered to be the biggest two-wheeler this year to launch.

First teased as the "Akula" - meaning shark in Russian - two years ago, the Apache RR 310 has been designed with an eye to track performance, and draws on the company's 35 years of track experience.

"We are confident that customers will find it to be a ideal combination of racecraft technology and riding dynamics", TVS Motor Company Joint Managing Director Sudarshan Venu said.

The Apache RR 310 has been equipped with twin LED headlamps and LED DRLs that give it a mean grin, sitting below a large windscreen. The bell-shaped LED taillamp looks unique as well and goes well with the overall styling of the motorcycle.

TVS Apache RR 310 Sports Bike shares the 312.2cc, fluid cooled, single-barrel motor with the BMW G 310 R which is made in India at TVS' office. Power is 34ps @ 9700rpm and 27.2Nm of torque @ 7700 rpm with a top speed of 160kph.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed super-slick gear box.

The front sprocket size has been altered from 16 teeth on the BMW to 17 teeth on the Apache.

The company has launched a wide range of activities, including racing championships, creating clubs and training riders, as part of its promotional activities for its Apache RR (Race Replica) model.
