PUBG About To Double Its Number Of Map

We've known that the desert map was coming for a little while now.

For much of the year, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has dominated the conversation on PC and broken all kinds of records, while Xbox One owners only have a few more days left before they too can join the Battle Royale with the game on the Game Preview Program.

"When we made a decision to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel", developers said in a Steam blog post.

Miramar looks completely different from PUBG's current - and only - map Erangel, which I've just been calling "The Island" this whole time. In the announcement blog post, the developer said that "The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required".

"Our game idea is always the same, and with this type of game we must have a lot of patience and precision when attacking". You get results in football in different ways, and it looked as though we may have got one in a different way today.

The largest city in the region, Los Leones offers high vantage points, construction sites and vast, abandoned buildings. While Miramar is slated to arrive when the PC version of PUBG reaches version 1.0 sometime later this month, players will be able to try the map out beforehand during the game's final test rounds on the test servers.

PUBG arrives on Xbox One Game Preview on December 12.

On top of the new terrain and locales, players will see freshly implemented weapons, vehicles, and other content in PUBG's desert map.

The Playerunknown's Battlegrounds development team has today formally taken the lid off the name and further details of its upcoming new desert map, ahead of its first gameplay footage to be shown at The Game Awards later this week.
