Maybe some of you still do that.
A southwest wind direction blowing across Lake Erie will direct a heavy snow band into the Buffalo area which will bring hazardous driving conditions for the Wednesday morning commute in the area.
This will be in response to some fast-moving and strung-out upper-level energy.
A storm system is responsible for starting the process of this pattern change.
Buffalo, Syracuse and Cleveland are big cities all familiar with lake effect snow, but sometimes we get some too.Читайте также: Study Finds Link Between Birth Control and Breast Cancer
Areas outside the narrow bands will likely see very little snow or no snow at all.
Very cold air is in over the state today, and it will produce some snow. For that matter, even if we have some lake effect snow and flurries, the sun will be in and out all day tomorrow.
Those counties are expecting heavy lake effect snow and very hard travel. Snow showers - and cold temperatures - remain in the forecast through Tuesday, though with lower chances of precipitation. There are some signs it could last longer than that, covering most of December. We're expecting one more above average day Tuesday before a blast of cold weather returns for the remainder of the week.
So, we will keep chances for accumulating snow with the eve4nt, but move it to Thursday instead of Wednesday. Storm systems cutting around the southern edge of the cold air mass and "Alberta clipper" systems diving southeastward from Canada could be the culprit. We won't rule out accumulations at this time, but the best chance of those right now look to be in central and southern in, which is a little different. But smaller disturbances may be able to lift some moisture into our cold air for small to medium-sized wintry precipitation events.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
