Trump Jr. "acknowledged having discussed the June 9 meeting and the emails that went into establishing that meeting after those emails became public", Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the intelligence committee, told reporters after Trump Jr.'s interview with the panel.

Others at Wednesday's questioning said Trump Jr. claimed he did not remember things the lawmakers wanted to know, including details about the meeting with the Russians. He added: "I don't believe you can shield communications between individuals merely by having an attorney present".

Trump Jr.'s attorney asked "for more time to deliberate" on whether to share additional information, and Schiff said Democrats will follow up on their request for details about what the Trumps discussed. The statement said the Trump Tower meeting focused on "a program about the adoption of Russian children" that the Kremlin ended after the USA imposed sanctions on Russian oligarchs in 2012.

Despite the White House denials, Russian Federation probe investigators have pushed hard to learn all possible details about exactly what Mr. Trump knew about the Veselnitskaya meeting.

The interview with President Donald Trump's eldest son comes as both the House and Senate intelligence panels are investigating a meeting that Trump Jr. and other Trump campaign officials held with Russians previous year.

Trump Jr. had met with investigators for the Senate Judiciary Committee in September, but that session took place before prosecutors working for special counsel Robert Mueller III filed criminal charges against former Trump advisers. Veselnitskaya says Trump pressed her for written evidence of malfeasance by Clinton during the meeting.

Any missile launches must be reported to the International Civil Aviation Organization to assure the safety of civilian aircraft. The airline changed the route back in July after a previous North Korean missile test, according to CNN Money .

Days after Trump's first statement on the story, Trump Jr. published an email chain showing he set up the meeting with Rob Goldstone, the publicist of Russian oligarch Emin Agalarov, after being offered help from the Russian government in the form of "official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia".

The interview is being held behind closed doors, and Trump Jr. arrived out of sight of cameras through a back entrance.

Separately, both the House or Senate intelligence committees have heard testimony from several of the meeting attendees - including Mr. Kushner, Ike Kaveladze, who was at the meeting as a representative of a Russian developer who once partnered with Mr. Trump to bring the Miss Universe pageant to Moscow, and Rinat Akhmetshin, a Russian-American lobbyist.

Schiff said that was not a well-grounded vindication not to speak, saying, the existence of counsel does not indicate communications between father and son are for the affluent.

Schiff told reporters that he wants Trump Jr.to answer questions about his conversations with his father and their public response to the meeting.
