Conte admits to change of heart over Fabregas

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been fined £8,000 by the FA after accepting a misconduct charge following his dismissal from the touchline during his team's 1-0 win over Swansea at the end of last month.

The Spain worldwide managed just 13 starts in Conte's first season as the London club went on to lift the Premier League and he was anxious about his future.

Fabregas was not able to break up the midfield partnership of N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic last season, with Conte initially plumping for aggression and athleticism over creativity during his premier campaign in England.

"I wasn't playing, not really part of his initial plans and at that point you can do two things". I said this a few times to the fourth official, but I didn't see anything change.

"This season he has continued to work very hard, showed me great commitment and behaviour and the coach has to make the best decision".

Emenalo added, of Conte's previous disputes with the club over transfers: "There are no ill feelings now, I think he's moved on from that and he's just focused on trying to get through what is a tough schedule and try to find some rhythm with the team again".

Tottenham Hotspur fans react on Twitter to Luke Shaw's Manchester United performance
Former Manchester United midfielder Scholes believes Shaw should be starting in the Red Devils team. However, it is clear he is not the long-term answer in the position for Mourinho.

"In the first half Swansea were wasting time". I understand his philosophy and must say I am very proud of this.

"I would be lying if said I wasn't anxious".

Fabregas, 30, is contracted until mid-2019 at Chelsea, the club he joined from Barcelona in June 2014. I'm enjoying my football.

"It is true that I have a very good personal relationship with him, I love his work, I love his passion, I love his ideas".

"When the moment comes to talk I'll be here, ready for it".
