Cleveland Browns: Executive VP Sashi Brown fired

It will now be interesting to see if Dorsey indeed winds up being hired to replace Brown in Cleveland and if he has any issues with Jackson remaining the team's heads coach. The Browns' next GM will be its ninth since the franchise moved to Cleveland in 1999, the most in the National Football League in that span. In announcing his dismissal, Jimmy Haslam said Brown was told the team "is going in a new direction".

The Browns have stockpiled picks for future drafts, with six additional picks in April's draft.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Cleveland is interested in former Chiefs general manager John Dorsey. The 2018 draft and offseason is pivotal for our franchise, we need to ensure that we maximize our opportunity for success; with our picks, free agency and building our roster.

Brown and Jackson appeared to be at odds over several roster decisions and Haslam figured his best course of action was to end the relationship rather than attempting to fix it.
