The Call of Duty WW2 Winter Siege seasonal event is scheduled to begin from Friday, December 8 and will run until Tuesday, January 2.

Winter Siege features a new winter version of the Carentan multiplayer map, which is a snow-covered, winter-themed version of the fan-favorite, previously only available as reimagined Carentan to Season Pass owners.

Additionally, Captain Butcher, a new quartermaster, will be visiting Headquarters and and he will be bringing along some new Supply Drops that are full of new gear that's ideal for the cold weather, according to GameSpot. Captain Butcher visits Headquarters bearing Winter Siege Division uniforms, cosmetic items and weapon variants.

Players can earn a variant of each new weapon for free via Special Orders from Major Howard (with orders being rotated daily to allow players to unlock a variant of each new weapon for free).
Some of the rare weapon variants are available to earn through Collection Bounties or through Winter Siege Supply Drops.
Sledgehammer Games will be activating a double XP boost between different playlists for the duration of the event. Simply logging in during the Winter Siege event each week will earn you a themed Supply Drop, or you can buy them with COD Points. Players will receive one of these for free each week.
