"That's the greatness, to me, of Carmelo Anthony".

Thunder center Steven Adams was nearly flawless, scoring 20 points on nine-of-10 shooting with nine rebounds.

THE Oklahoma City Thunder came back from a 17-point third quarter deficit with a scorching fourth period blitz to shock the Utah Jazz, 100-94, on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time).

Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal torched the Portland Trail Blazers for 51 points on 21-of-37 shooting, recording the most points ever scored at the Moda Center for a single game.

Meanwhile, Anthony struggled for large parts of the game, starting 2-of-13 from the floor before hitting four of his final six shots. PG13 did the same, scoring just three points on 1-of-5 shooting in the first half and then pouring in 18 on 6-of-8 shooting in the second. "It should be one point for Steven and one point for Carmelo". Paul George is one of the best defenders in the league. "Leaving it all on the floor, you seen it tonight". He's catching it in the lane, he's making floaters, and if he doesn't have a floater, he's making extra passes. George and Donovan spoke after Sunday's game against the Spurs about Anthony's sacrifice, with Anthony saying he's willing to do whatever it is the team needs from him. "And I'm good with that; it's a good feeling, as long as we're winning".

"We ran out of steam a little bit emotionally", Snyder said. "We found something that was working, stayed with it and made them make the adjustment".

"I think people have it really backwards", head coach Billy Donovan said when asked why Adams has taken on such bigger offensive focus, via ESPN.

It was one of two critical turnovers for Mitchell down the stretch. "I though Russell and his never-say-die attitude when we got down there, just kept us alive". Even later in the clock, it's going to come back. "We have to play through that".

At one stage it looked like they would go on to the make it seven as they took a 17-point lead but the Thunder showed resilience and fought back to win it 100-94 thanks to a huge fourth-quarter surge.

Adams looked bemused as he turned onto defence after sinking the bucket. Westbrook had 11 of his 34 in the third, plus four assists.

Reigning MVP Russell Westbrook lead the way for the hosts with his seventh triple-double of the season (34 points, 13 rebounds, 14 assists), while All Star forward Paul George (21 points, 7 rebounds) shared the scoring load. It's not like we're throwing the ball into the low post and this guy's going to a variety of different moves. "When we're patient on offense, Steven's going to get those opportunities. We stuck together through adversity and came out and got it done in the fourth".

The Thunder improved to 11-12.

The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Utah.
