John Mayer was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday (December 5), and is reportedly in surgery for an emergency removal of his appendix.

Dead & Company have postponed tonight's concert in New Orleans after member John Mayer was admitted to the hospital.

The group added that all tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date and refunds will be available at point of purchase.

John Mayer was hospitalized in New Orleans on Tuesday to undergo an emergency appendectomy, according to PEOPLE.

Mayer, 40, has not yet commented on the procedure, but as of Monday evening, he'd been active on social media.
