The Envy x2, in keeping with Microsoft's always-connected PC vision, purportedly sports long battery life, almost instant wake times from a sleep state, and ubiquitous LTE connectivity. The 845 is a direct successor to last year's very popular Snapdragon 835, and it will likely bring improved performance, better power efficiency, and improved image processing. The NovaGo offers up to 22 hours of battery life (video playback), up to 30 days of standby time, and comes with support for Windows Ink, Windows Hello, and Cortana.
Thankfully though, the HP Envy x2 has alleviated all of our concerns with its impeccably thin and ambitiously premium design. Just like the freshly released Surface Pro with LTE, it will come with both an embedded SIM and a Nano SIM tray for popping in your own SIM card. The Envy has a similarly sized 12-inch display, though its 1,920 x 1,280 resolution isn't as sharp as the MacBook, and to be fair the Envy is more of a tablet convertible while the Macbook is a more traditional laptop. This is a huge advantage for mobile users, who can simply add these devices to their cellular accounts and receive internet connectivity anywhere in the world, allowing them to simply turn on their device and start working instead of hunting for Wi-Fi hotspots. With up to 20 hours of active use battery life, the detachable PC provides flexibility and connectivity to perform daily tasks while on the go.
UCF calls audible, names Josh Heupel head coach
After building the SEC's top-scoring offense at Missouri, Josh Heupel is leaving the Tigers for his first head-coaching job. The Knights won the American Athletic Conference Championship Game on Saturday en route to a ideal 12-0 record.
The HP Envy x2 is otherwise as well specced as any Intel-powered Windows machine with as little as 4GB of memory and a 64GB SSD for $599 (about £450, AU$790). But we expect more information in the coming weeks. Whether these devices live up to their expectations or not we are sure of one thing that it will create a homogeneous opportunity to take this revolution forward.
